Frequently Asked Questions

How do I arrange my cheat days?

  • You are allowed two cheat days each week. On these days you are encouraged to continue eating foods based on the Slim Fit philosophies and also, have at least two meals that are above and beyond (pizza, ice cream, ribs, etc...) The days work best when done consecutively but they can be divided if you have to due to other circumstances. The key to making this day succesful and not catastrophic is to plan ahead. I encourage you to keep a list of the foods you are craving during the week, that way when the weekend comes you have a strategic attack, not a free-for-all bingefest! The reason this is important is because the body gets used to eating the same thing daily and it is no longer a shock to the body if you diet 7 days a week. By throwing in 2 "curveball" days, the body is constantly shocked.
I started exercising but I'm not losing weight, why is that?
  • This goes back to the "muscle weighs more than fat" statement you've probably heard before. Well... this is very true. When you start working out, just like a diet, your body will respond very quickly during the first few weeks because it is experiencing new stimulus. So what happens is that your body is building muscle during this time at a faster pace than you are losing fat. An example is: if you weigh 180 lbs with 20% body fat, then you have 36 lbs of fat. If in one month you are175 lbs but are down to 15% body fat, then you only have 26 lbs of fat on your body. So in actuality, even though the scale only went down by 5 lbs, you lost 10 lbs of fat!!!

How come my weight fluctuates so much day by day or even hour by hour?

  • The only "REAL" weight you will ever take is first thing in the morning, before eating and after your first urination. Any other time during the day you may fluctuate anywhere between 3-5 lbs heavier. The reason for this is that your body generally has a higher capacity of fluid retention than what it is given. The majority of the US population is either dehydrated, or severely dehydrated. My recommendation is to increase your fluid intake a little bit each day until you are drinking at least 1/2 your bodies weight in ounces of water (ex. 200 lbs = 100 oz of water/day). This may sound like a lot, especially if you're not used to drinking that amount of water. The easiest way to go about this is consistency and gradually. An example would be this... if you are 200 lbs and drinking 100 oz of water a day, you need to drink five 20 oz bottle a day. Lets say that you sleep 8 hours a night (which you should!) then that means that you are awake for at least 16 hours. So, using the consistency and gradually method, you would need to drink one bottle every 3 hours or so. It's a lot easier to do when it's explained like that huh?!

Should I still drink my Slim Fit Meal Replacement smoothies on the weekends, even though I'm supposed to be cheating?

  • Yes. In fact, we hear this question rather often due to the fact that they taste so good. Your weekend cheat days are supposed to satisfy your cravings, not destroy them. Have your cheat meals in moderation and always take AM Metabolizer and PM Purifier on the weekends to control your cravings, improve your digestion and control your blood sugar.

Do I have to eat vegetables after my nighttime smoothie? I'm just not hungry.

  • You should definitely try to eat some vegetables after your last smoothie. The reason for this is because vegetables are loaded with phytochemicals which help to break down fats in the body. This is very important as you are about to rest for 6-8 hours and you don't want your body to store any additional fat.

I am starting to feel very jittery from my morning coffee, why is that?

  • This is the beauty of Slim Fit and the "Acceleration Days". Because this program is all natural and you are detoxing your body on Wednesday's every week, the caffeine in your coffee is now having the same effect on you as when you started drinking coffee. Plus, there is no caffeine in any of the Slim Fit products so caffeine is now a foreign chemical to you and your body is no longer immune to it's effects. This is actually a good thing because now the caffeine will help keep you alert, boost your memory and increase overall well being!
